As the title suggests, I would love if Alfred had an option for all Big Sur users to have a Big Sur icon for the application by default in Big Sur.

I would also like an option for the alfred search icon to simply have an option to be squarish.

Welcome to the forums, @quakebook,

Unfortunately, I’m replying to this to give my vote against. Big Sur icons are for the most part hideous and without personality, and a lot of them are lazily tacked on to a squircle (see every Chromium Browser). Alfred’s icon has no reason to ever be in the Dock, so in the times you do see it, having it be contained in a squircle makes little sense.

@vitor Would it be possible to offer both? Perhaps have the current Alfred icon as the default, and then in preferences have an option to change the icon to the square one if the user wants?

Yes, there is an API for that. But the icon still remains the original, only switching when the app is open. Iconography inside the app itself isn’t affected, naturally.
