Brittany
I am looking to implement the Second Brain using Obsidian on my Mac. One of the key points is that you first search your notes before going to Google or StackOverflow. So I was thinking about an Alfred workflow that could perform this search in a hierarchical fashion. For example, I could type “og css flexbox” and it would first search obsidian for “css flexbox” and if nothing was found, search Google. Is this possible? Does it already exist? Link to comment
vitor
Yes, it is possible in several ways. For example with a Script Filter or leveraging Fallback Searches. I’ve found several Alfred Workflows for Obsidian (shimmering-obsidian, obsidian-alfred). Have you given those a try? Link to comment
Brittany
@vitor Wow! When I posted this, I was still on the fence about purchasing the Powerpack. I never considered that Alfred would have built-in support for fallback searches!! I purchased the powerpack and installed Shimmering Obsidian and it does exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!! (and sorry for the silly question) vitor 1 Link to comment
