FWIW...

I want to keep my biometric unlock enabled / use my installed version of 1Password CLI.

During setup, I was getting the error message:

connecting to desktop app: determining parent proces of 3820: operation not permitted

I needed to upgrade my 1Password CLI to v2.5.1, which is a bugfix release (circa June) that specifically addresses a permissions issue.

After upgrading, the new integration is workin' like a champ for me. 👍

Also a really cool way of learning non-trivial Alfred workflows! 🙌🏻

No luck getting it to work. After installing the workflow, typing "1p" in Alfred only shows the entry "1Password /Applications/1Password.app" -- there's no option to launch 1Password's command-line tool in Terminal.

You are a version behind and it’s been over a month since you last posted on this thread. Please update, do the command, and paste the new debugger output.

I mean the the debugger output (open it and perform the failing action). Also, whatever output the Terminal shows, if that’s the case. I don’t know if the issue you’re facing is still the same.

OK. the issue I'm facing is that when I open the Alfred dialogue and use the 1P command to 'Sign in and update items' I get the terminal saying I'm running an old version of the CLI despite having updated it (I thought)

See Terminal output:

The default interactive shell is now zsh.

------------------------- IMPORTANT -------------------------

You have an old version of the 1Password command-line tool.

Install the latest version from:

  https://1password.com/downloads/command-line/

Then run the Workflow again.

You may close the terminal.

The issue is that the 1Password command-line tool, op, is unable to create the configuration directory:

Can you (in the Terminal) /usr/local/bin/op signin --force?

You’ll have to ask 1Password about it. It’s their tool having the issue, which as you can attest happens even outside the Workflow. I did a quick search online and haven’t found anyone else affected with that exact problem.

When I do "Sign in and update items", Terminal starts but no window appears and nothing happens.
