SonicBlueJedi Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 I've tried to get this to work a few times and selecting "sign in and update items" is doing nothing. Here is the diagnostic output: ### Workflow version 2022.15 ### Alfred version 5.0 ### macOS version 11.6.7 ### Architecture i386 ### Preferences Default ### 1Password version 8.7.3 ### op version In Workflow: 2.2.0 In /usr/local: NOT installed ### Biometric unlock NOT enabled ### Custom terminal feature Enabled ### Launchd job Loaded: - 0 com.alfredapp.1password Installed
vitor Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Welcome @SonicBlueJedi, You have custom code in Alfred Preferences → Features → Terminal. It may be outdated and not working. If you’re using iTerm2, check Custom Alfred iTerm Scripts. If you no longer care for it to be custom, set it to the default Terminal. SonicBlueJedi 1
jtigger Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 (edited) (long time user, first time poster) FWIW... I want to keep my biometric unlock enabled / use my installed version of 1Password CLI. During setup, I was getting the error message: connecting to desktop app: determining parent proces of 3820: operation not permitted I needed to upgrade my 1Password CLI to v2.5.1, which is a bugfix release (circa June) that specifically addresses a permissions issue. After upgrading, the new integration is workin' like a champ for me. 👍 Also a really cool way of learning non-trivial Alfred workflows! 🙌🏻 Edited July 17, 2022 by jtigger clarify "new" status; new to forums, not the tool.
awcm0n Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 No luck getting it to work. After installing the workflow, typing "1p" in Alfred only shows the entry "1Password /Applications/1Password.app" -- there's no option to launch 1Password's command-line tool in Terminal. ### Workflow version 2022.15 ### Alfred version 5.0 ### macOS version 12.4 ### Architecture arm64 ### Preferences Default ### 1Password version 8.8.0 ### op version In Workflow: 2.2.0 In /usr/local: NOT installed ### Biometric unlock NOT enabled ### Custom terminal feature NOT enabled ### Launchd job Loaded: - 0 com.alfredapp.1password Installed

vitor Posted July 21, 2022 Author Posted July 21, 2022 I mean the the debugger output (open it and perform the failing action). Also, whatever output the Terminal shows, if that’s the case. I don’t know if the issue you’re facing is still the same.

OK. the issue I'm facing is that when I open the Alfred dialogue and use the 1P command to 'Sign in and update items' I get the terminal saying I'm running an old version of the CLI despite having updated it (I thought) See Terminal output: Last login: Thu Jul 21 17:56:24 on ttys000 You have mail. vitor Posted July 21, 2022 Author Posted July 21, 2022 The issue is that the 1Password command-line tool, op, is unable to create the configuration directory: 6 minutes ago, drpbier said: cannot create directory "/Users/davidbier/.config/op" and the parent directories: mkdir /Users/davidbier/.config/op: permission denied Can you (in the Terminal) /usr/local/bin/op signin --force?

vitor Posted July 21, 2022 Author Posted July 21, 2022 You’ll have to ask 1Password about it. It’s their tool having the issue, which as you can attest happens even outside the Workflow. I did a quick search online and haven’t found anyone else affected with that exact problem.

convivio Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 I mean exactly that. Terminal app executes but no Terminal window appears.
