hawkmonitor
Keyword Workflows created in Alfred 5 do not operate upon 1Password 8 when using Safari Version 15.5 (17613.2.7.1.8). 1Password for Safari has been added to Safari extension per instructions. Have set preferences to allow access to other sites. While keystroke workflow works fine, 1 password is missing in action and it is necessary to type in the username and password. Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment
vitor
Can you clarify the question? What specifically are you having trouble with? What steps are you taking, what is happening, and what did you expect to happen? If your question concerns the 1Password Workflow, please make your question in its thread and provide the information requested in the second post. Edited July 17, 2022 by vitor Link to comment
hawkmonitor
Hi Vitor When I run keystroke workflow I have created,(1) it opens the Safari website. I still (2) need to enter the website's login username and password. Want to eliminate step 2 with my new Powerpack. Link to comment
vitor
That’s a limitation imposed by 1Password. Alfred is only asking macOS to open the website, it doesn’t control how the 1Password extension will behave after that. To auto-fill the details from a URL in 1Password 8, you now need to know the item’s ID and add it as a parameter to the URL. The official 1Password Workflow does that. But 1Password has to be unlocked. To have the extension behave differently in the browser, you’ll have to make the request to the 1Password team. Edited July 17, 2022 by vitor Link to comment
hawkmonitor
Understood. Thanks. Will try it. Am not a techie. Please let me know where I find the item's iD. Link to comment
vitor
Go into 1Password and tell it to “Open and Fill” the website you want. Copy the URL from the browser. Link to comment
