hbadorties
Hello experts, I am using Alfred 4.7(1306) with PowerPack on MacOS Catalina (10.15.7). For unknown reasons the search (option+space) does not find applications I have installed (Acrobat Reader, Snagit, Thunderbird, Amazing Slow Downer, etc.). To make matters mor complicated, Alfred will find some, but not all, of the applications native to the MacOS (i.e. Finder, Screen Sharing, Activity Monitor) but it Alfred will not find Safari. On the other hand, Spotlight will find ALL of these files (cmd+space). I have followed ALL the recommendations in various forum articles including "Granting Alfred Permissions on Your Mac", "Troubleshooting File Indexing Issues on macOS Monterey" (even though I'm not using Monterey). I have also run "Rebuild macOS Metadata" (Alfred "Advanced" menu). No luck. I have included below the results from Alfred's "File Search Troubleshooting" where I selected, by way of example, 'Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.app' Any assistance would be very much appreciated... hbadorties
I have found, or stumbled upon, a solution. I put a call in to Apple and they had me shutdown and reset the NVRAM. After doing this the problem seems to have been corrected! I want to thank the Alfred folks for their support (by email) in which they went above and beyond the call of duty in efforts to assist!
