I cannot change the theme

Hi,

I don't know really know how I did that. I cannot change the theme. It stays on Alfred Modern Dark. I imagine it is related to the message in red. 

Volume Seagate is my external hard drive. Could anyone please help?

It is not recommended to sync your preferences to an external hard drive, as the volume may not be ready when Alfred starts up and needs to access the files. Are you sure the file system on the external hard drive is one macOS can read and write to?
