solved Virtual machine results still show up even after following recommendations

Hi - I'm trying to get alfred 5 to stop searching virtual machine disks but having trouble: 

 

I've added the VM root folder AND the specific VM folder to spotlight privacy:

 

And flushed/reloaded the alfred cache. Is there anything else I can try?

Welcome @Left4deadInCLT,

 

Try rebooting or rebuilding you mac’s metadata index, Spotlight may just need a little “shake”.

Alternatively, the Ignore in Alfred workflow should do it. Note this uses a separate solution from Spotlight privacy and it ignores the results just in Alfred.

You download it, install it, then follow the instructions. In this case you would open Alfred, type ignore virtual machines then ↩ on the specific folder.

You can also build your own without code. In Alfred Preferences → Workflows, the “Getting Started” option gives you an interactive tutorial.
