Tyler Durden
Alfred 5.0.4 [2095] macOS 12.6.1 iOS 16.1 / iPadOS 16 Description of the bug: After updating to the above mentioned versions I have problems copying pictures via the universal clipboard. If my mac is running with alfred in the background and I copy e.g. an image from my iPhone from "Photos" to insert it in "Notes" on my iPad the paste function doesn't work. Closing Alfred or ticking the option "Ignore data from other Apple devices" resolves this issue. Unfortunately I did set the image retention to only 24 hours which makes a comparison to before the updates a little bit difficult. What I think to have found out: Apple has changed something on the shared-pasteboard implementation - my (new) path: /private/var/folders/f4/p5b4k6710t1c0k48pm41m9l40000gn/T/com.apple.useractivityd/shared-pasteboard/items I don't recall having those images stored in '/private/var/...' previously. This creates a new problem: If you copy images via the universal clipboard you get lots of zombie files in your clipboard history but no usable file. For now a temporary fix is ticking the preference option "Ignore data from other Apple devices" to copy / paste images between devices. If you need more information feel free to ask. Andrew
in the 5.0.6 b2107 pre-release, I've separated the universal clipboard file lists option which fixes this issue while allowing universal text and images to continue to work.
