Camera Restart

A lot of time, the webcam on our laptops (external or inbuilt) stop working and does not turn on unless you restart the machine. This workflow restarts the camera process. 

 

macOS prompts for user password (via the macOS's normal authentication flow) since killing a process requires sudo access. It's a one line script so nothing too crazy. Here's the script that can also be found in the workflow

 

do shell script "killall VDCAssistant" with administrator privileges

Indeed this one is a bit too specific and the action is potentially destructive and requires authentication. I’m not sure how common this problem is (first I’m aware of it), but passing on it for now.
