solved How to get Alfred to remember work-in-progress math?

One thing I used all the time with Spotlight was the ability to start a math equation, move to a different app (which closes Spotlight), get further number and open Spotlight and finish my equation.  When I try this with Alfred, it erases the equation and I have to start over.

 

Is there anyway to replicate this Spotlight functionality in Alfred?

You can press ↑ after opening Alfred to get the last query. Make sure “Store typed query” is on under Alfred Preferences → Advanced → History, where you can read more about it. You may also want to tick “Show latest query if within 5 minutes”.
