solved Can't Download Alfred 5

I'm trying to Download Alfred using the link on the main site.

Currently the links points to https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/Alfred_5.1_2134.dmg 

 

But I'm getting a 404 Not found message.

 

Anyone has a working link, or knows what's up?

The link works for me. What happens if you try downloading directly from this page?

 

Edit: I appreciate the link on that page is the same as the link you used. If it still doesn't work try using a different browser.

@MrVersano pop an email to our info@ address and I'll reply with the dmg. Alternatively, do you have a different internet connection you could try, or do you have any software installed which could be blocking?

 

There are currently no issues I can see with CacheFly (traffic is flowing normally), but there could be a CDN routing issue, or a DNS issue somewhere between you and CacheFly.

Looks like you were right. I was using a VPN and that must have caused a routing issue.

Once I disconnected from it, the download link worked.

I think there really *is* a problem with the Cachefly CDN. From my location (Switzerland):

 

• https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/Alfred_5.1_2134.dmg results in a 404 (Standard Nginx 404 Page)
• https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/ results in the standard "Welcome to nginx!" page

I believe that there is a configuration problem with certain mirrors.

 

I'm not in a VPN or anything, and it worked just a few days past.

Confirmed. When switching servers on a VPN, sometimes the download works, sometimes it does not.

(And without VPN it doesn't work for me)

I've just purged the caches, it may take a few moments to propagate, but could you then please try those links again?

Sure! The download link now works from all servers I've tested.  https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/ always results in 404 Not Found - nginx (which is probably intended?), and https://alfredapp.com works fine.

@zeitlings thanks! 404 is intended on / and https://www.alfredapp.com/ isn't served via cachefly, so all sounds like it's normal now
