liquidknight
Hi! Is there a way to look for folders via a keyword or component while Browse in Alfred? Like in the gif example attached … I want to see all the folders that include “Green” but if i look up for the keyword “Green” no folders are shown, because its filtering by the first letter … Thanks for any help! 🙂 Link to comment
Stephen_C
You can set up a file filter with the file types set to public.folder (just drag in a folder to set that), set the scope as you want it and link that to something like Action in Alfred and/or Open File (to open the folder in Finder). That will find part of folder names as you wish. Stephen liquidknight 1 Link to comment
liquidknight
Thanks for your reply! Yes, I know that … But for my purpose this is not working. I have a problem with a specific network folder. it cannot be searched through "File Filter". I suspect it is related to the indexing. Unfortunately I do not have the permissions to adjust this. However, I can browse the folder via "Browse in Alfred". But then I have the problem that I can't search for keywords. I always have to know the exact path ... Unfortunately this makes it not very effective. Link to comment
vitor
It’s filtering from the start of each word. For folders named Red Green Blue (note the spaces), searching for green works. Doing it from any place in the word would have performance implications. liquidknight 1 Link to comment
