andy4222
Opens WhatsApp chat by either searching contact or providing a valid phone number associated with WhatsApp. Takes care of all format (with hyphens, brackets, spaces) and uses default country code as 1 (can be changed from the configuration builder) https://www.dropbox.com/s/h0ak2dsws955dx4/Whatsapp.alfredworkflow.zip?dl=0 Credits: - Uses parts of this workflow https://www.alfredforum.com/topic/8922-call-or-sms-contact-v22/page/3/ Edited May 4 by andy4222
vitor
Remember that the screenshots should have a shadow and no background. The pinned post explains how, including a short gif. Please don’t use com.alfredapp. in the bundle ID, a bundle ID is supposed to have your own domain. If you don‘t have one, you can use instead app.alfred. followed by your GitHub username then the name of the workflow. There’s no description in the workflow. In other WhatsApp workflows I’ve seen, a common theme is that they have to support a default country code for when one isn’t provided because otherwise it won’t work for your contacts without a country code. That isn’t supported in this case, however. Turns out that Dropbox is an unreliable source for checking for updates. To submit a workflow for the Gallery, please host it on a proper home, be it on your personal homepage or GitHub. Edited May 3 by vitor
andy4222
@vitor - Added description - Changed bundle ID - Added default country code in config builder - Now the workflow takes care of all formats (with hyphens, brackets, spaces) Unfortunately I don't plan on hosting these on my personal github. I'm totally fine if the Alfred team wants to host this on their github account. 🙂. Edited May 4 by andy4222
vitor
To clarify, it has to have a proper home for it to go in the Gallery. I know we briefly discussed a possible alternative early on, but the logistics turn out to not be worth it as literally everyone else is following the route of hosting on GitHub. It’s OK if you don’t want to do that, but it does mean the Workflow won’t be added. Naturally, sharing on the forum continues to be welcomed and it’s fine to do so with Dropbox links.
