tweak Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) I know this is super easy, but manual attempts at doing this via a workflow automation and google/forum searching came up empty. How do I create a simple workflow that grabs currently open firefox tab url and opens it in new safari tab? Super simple I know - I just seem to be missing something on creating this here. Thank you in advance. Edited January 8, 2024 by tweak
Stephen_C Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) Start with a Universal Action trigger limited to URLs and single input arguments. Simply link that to an Open URL action set to open with Safari. If still stumped just say…I have a simple workflow that does exactly that! Edit: In case it's not clear all you then have to do is to select the URL in Firefox, use your Universal Action hotkey and choose the new workflow you've just created. On every other major browser it is indeed trivial and there are Automation Tasks to do exactly that. @Stephen_C’s solution will work in just about any app, including Firefox, but you have to select the URL yourself. Browser’s usually set that to ⌘L.
