How to Report Issues

Accurate and thorough information is crucial for a proper diagnosis. At a minimum, your report should include:

  • The debugger output of the failing action.
  • Your installed versions of: the Workflow, Alfred, and macOS. Be precise, don’t say “latest”.
More information is always welcome. A short video of the steps with the debugger open may help to identify the problem faster.
  • 3 months later...

Hi -

I just started installed the Wayback When workflow (v2024.1) on Alfred 5.5, and wanted to bring to your attention that while it claims to use the Internet Archive's "Wayback Machine" (https://archive.org / https://web.archive.org) it actually links to a completely different, though similarly named site (https://archive.today). Though the names are confusingly similar, they are completely different organizations and services.

Welcome @hellbender,

The workflow does use the Wayback Machine. It falls back to archive.today by default if the page is not found on the Internet Archive or if you use ⌥↩. This is covered in the instructions and configurable in the Workflow Configuration.

The Internet Archive has recently been victim of a cyber attack and is still getting back up, so it’s expected that the workflow is falling back more often as they recover.
