psietos
Hi, long time user, first time caller. I have been looking for a way to adjust Alfred's settings to sort results by the date created, and by default. I have a file structure for work with folders nestled into folders; many are 20-fold deep, and some folders have identical names. Is there a way to set the default search to sort results "by date created"? I have already turned off "Top Keyboard Latching," which has helped, sort of, and I found instructions on "Sorting Preferences and Order" using the cog in the bottom right of the window, but that only works on files, not on nestled folders. thanks in advance Link to comment
sepulchra
I'm not sure if you can do that if your folders are in your default results but I believe it will work if you build a file filter for folders. If you take a look at the folder search that is in the gallery it is a good example. You can change the settings under "scope", and then "limit and sort" in the file filter. Link to comment
psietos
Thank you very much for the suggestion. I installed the File Filter workflow, and it seems to work. For anyone else interested, I've attached screenshots of the settings. Basic Set up / File Type: "public.folder", Scope / Search Scope: my work folder Fields: untouched Limit And Sort / Sort by: "Creation Date" Link to comment
