zamboknee Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Maybe a stretch but have to ask.... Is there a way to have Alfred move an app to a different monitor in a 2 monitor setup? I get that this is a very specific thing but I have 2 monitors that are essentially in 2 different rooms connected to the same computer. I'd like to be able to, let's say, open Davinci Resolve on monitor 1 and only use it on that monitor.
Stephen_C Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 You might see if the "Send Window to Different Screen” Automation Task helps. Stephen
lutefish Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 I've been using Acidham / Alfred Window Manager (https://github.com/Acidham/alfred-window-manager) with a hotkey configured to move windows to a different monitor. I think I found it through the Gallery - it has been smooth and painless.

I encourage anyone to build their own window manager with those, as it’s straightforward to do, can be set up exactly as you like, and it’s a good way to learn about connecting objects in workflows.
lutefish Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Huh. This was definitely a case of "oh look, there's a workflow that does exactly what I want, easily discovered in the Gallery." But, as my ignorance is showing re Automation Tasks, I shall poke around a bit. Thanks. vitor 1
vitor Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Have fun! The page @Stephen_C linked has some examples. The Learning workflows in the Gallery also tend to make heavy use of them. Sequential Paste and Label Colour Tag both do.
