Doctor Banjo
There should be an option to disable macOS auto-correct when typing in Alfred. If I click to close the suggested correction it changes to a Google search. Edited September 24 by Doctor Banjo
Vero
@Doctor Banjo Welcome to the forum Could you let us know which version of macOS you're using? I don't believe this is an on-by-default macOS feature, but if we know the OS version you're using, we may be able to help identify where this was enabled. Vero
@Doctor Banjo I've launched Monterey to take a look and, while I can get the auto-correct to appear in TextEdit, I can't seem to make it appear when misspelling words in Alfred. Having said that, if you'd like to disable the auto-correct feature globally in macOS Monterey, open System Preferences > Keyboard > Text and uncheck "Correct spelling automatically". In my testing, I had to quit and relaunch TextEdit for this change to be applied. With regards to finding results for "I'll" - if you search for "I'll" directly in Alfred, rather than via the auto-correction made by macOS, do you find any results? Switching to the fallback searches is likely correct because your default results probably don't contain anything that matches. Remember that if you want to search more deeply, prefix your search term with "open" or the spacebar: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/kb/search-your-mac-with-alfred/ Let me know how you get on
