theboyler Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Something odd has happened with my right-arrow cursor key in 15.1 and the behaviour persists on 15.2 Public Beta (build 24C5073e). Once Alfred is launched, the right cursor key doesn't respond in other apps - it doesn't move the cursor along text, or to the next cell in excel etc; there's no effect at all. But when in Alfred, the right arrow works as intended. Once Alfred is quit, the right arrow goes back to being recognised across all applications. Aside from a screen video showing how this is the case, I'm not sure what evidence of the bug I can provide!
zeitlings Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Did you, by chance, assign a hotkey trigger to respond to the right arrow key? For some reason this is possible and causes the behavior you are describing. Perhaps it's worth checking out: In Alfred, type ?hotkey trigger to inspect all the shortcuts you have assigned. Look for something like this:
theboyler Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 Nothing is assigned to the right arrow when I get the list of hotkey assignations!= 😞
Stephen_C Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I know this is a terribly simple response…but have you tried rebooting your Mac? 😀 Stephen
theboyler Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 Hi Stephen - yes! Have worked out what it was; I'd changed the selection hotkey to right arrow without a modifier.
