duplicate Regex based Universal Actions ("Show for")

Alfred should have a way to show a workflow only when a regex matches. Right now we have files, URLs, and text. would be great to have regex as an option....it helps with less crowding of results and targeted triggers.

What are you trying to do where those three options aren't specific enough? You should provide a specific case as to why and how this feature would be useful.

a universal action (UA) should be available only when the text is JSON, or fit another regex. This is especially useful since the UA list can become too big and if an action cannot be executed for that text, why should it even show up here. 

 

similarly, certain UAs should only show up for images, or pdf, etc. right now, if I create a UA that says prettify json file, it would also show up for a text file, or a pdf, since they also fit the "file" criteria.

That’s a File Action Trigger. It has existed for longer than Universal Actions.
