File Filter set to sort by Last Modified Date but results are not sorted that way

System:

  • Alfred 5.5.1 [2273]
  • Sequoia 15.1

I have a workflow with a file filter set to:

  • Match all file types
  • Scope: 18 locations
  • Fields:
    • KMDItemDisplayName, Value: {query}, Words ✔, Split ✔
    • KMDItemAlternateNames {query}, Words ✔, Split ✔
    • KMDItemFinderComment {query}, Words ✔, Split ✔
  • Anchor searches which are not word-based for accuracy ✔
  • Limit and Sort
    • Date Range: Any Date
    • Result Limit: 75
    • Sort by: Last Modified Date

If I trigger the file filter with a hotkey and then enter a space, I get results, but they are not sorted properly. The first result is from October and then the other results get progressively older, with the bottom result from July 2023. macOS shows the info for the top result right now as:

Created: Wednesday 9 October 2024 at 12:36
Modified: Wednesday 9 October 2024 at 12:36

If I change the 'Date Range' to 'Last 30 days', I get the search results exactly as I'd expect.

Is there something wrong with the filter when the date range is set to 'Any Date', or is there something else going on?

Thanks

Anyone?

Would appreciate if someone could try this and confirm if they get the same result. This would help determine if it's indeed a bug.

Thanks

@Alex Rest assured, all bug reports are looked at even if they don’t get a reply right away. I tested this yesterday and opened an internal report for investigation. Thank you for your patience.
