When typing fast Alfred often does the wrong thing

I have an M3 MacBook running 15.1.1 (24B91)

Fully patched alfred (don't seem to be able to copy your version number from preferences but it's 5.5.1 with some numbers after)

Fairly often if I type something quickly that I want to be a web search (most recently "contacts online") it instead opens a random folder on my desktop (in this  case "Contact Sheet Demo"). Every time this happens if I bring up Alfred again and then just hit return, it does a web search as it should. This only happens if I type quickly but does happen at least a few times week so it's fairly persistent.

@JasonMark Could you please try rebuilding your Mac's index by following steps 5/6 here?

https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/

Rebuilding the metadata including deleting the Spotlight-V100 tends to resolve this.

You may also want to take a look at your primary Alfred hotkey; If you're using Cmd + Space, please check that there is no interference with other apps or macOS services that are also responding to the same hotkey combo.

This type of delay has only affected a tiny proportion of Alfred users, and can be resolved with a little bit of maintenance of your Mac and its metadata index.

Here are the other points to look at when experiencing this type of delay:

Vero

@JasonMark can you re-send your diagnostics to our info@ address so I can see that your settings match what the guide suggests.

For more context, Alfred will never select / launch the incorrect result. Result collection happens asynchronously, and are fed by the various sources as and when they are available. If the macOS index is either malfunctioning or misconfigured, macOS could return a result slower than usual. It sounds like this is likely happening in your case, as note that results being removed from Alfred's results for a non-match are still being provided my macOS. Having said this, ultimately, if the macOS index is functioning faultlessly, you should see practically zero lag.

In this case, if you actually want to search on google, use the google keyword (or perhaps change this shortcut to 'g' so you can just type 'g contacts online').
