brick Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Does anyone know of a workflow to copy web browser urls? I'm looking for something that works with Opera browser and is compatible with macOS Ventura on an M1 chip. There's a great looking one shown in this yt video called Copy URL but I can only find it on packal.org, where it was posted 5 years ago and doesn't show compatibility for macOS Ventura, which I'm on. I found another one on github called Copy URL for Alfred but it doesn't seem to work with Opera browser. Searched the forum here and didn't find anything. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
vitor Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 You can make your own workflow for it, without a single line of code. You just need to connect a Keyword Input to a Front Browser Tab List or Chromium Browser Tab List Automation Task to a Copy to Clipboard Output. See the Getting Started Guide for an interactive tutorial on making a workflow. There is further documentation on the website to follow up (tip: find help for any object fast by clicking the (?) icon while editing). brick Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 Thank you very much vitor! I thought you had to be a coding wizard to create workflows but perhaps this is something even I can manage with some time and research. vitor 1
wellerpond Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I could use some additional help with this simple workflow. I connected a hot key to Browser Tab List to Copy to Clipboard but nothing is happening. I have pass through to workflow selected, and Automatically Past to Front most app. Thoughts on what I am missing?
vitor Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Something always happens; check the debugger. See also How to Ask for Help with a Workflow for a primer on the information to include when asking for assistance. Following those short points only takes a minute and makes everyone better equipped to help you.
wellerpond Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Excellent, thank you, I will! Turns out the hotkey was assigned to something else. Once I changed it, it worked perfectly.
