andrea.vuolo Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi there, I searched a bit online for some dark/light mode workflow in Alfred but I didn't find something completeley satisfying. I want a workflow that when called via hotkey (something like dark on, dark off) does: 1) set dark mode on 2) set night shift on 3) set brightness to 75% or something similar to be given in input 4) change wallpaper (possibly to one of the predefined apple ones, with a bit a video Is there any option to create such workflow?
FireFingers21 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 @andrea.vuolo Welcome to the forum! The easiest and most straightforward way to do this would probably be to just create a macOS Shortcut and trigger it with the Run macOS Shortcuts action. Every action you're looking to perform is available and can be added to a single macOS Shortcut. Then in Alfred, connect a Hotkey Trigger to a Run macOS Shortcuts action assigned to the macOS Shortcut you just created. For the most part, these actions could also be performed with Automation Tasks, though for more granular control of things like Night Shift, installing a third-party CLI and activating it with a Run Script Action is a decent alternative. Otherwise the macOS Shortcuts route is probably the simplest way to go. vitor 1
andrea.vuolo Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 Thank you for your kind reply, I figure it out with macOs Shortcut and I dit what I needed I have now two macos Shortcut, with right setting of night shift and the brightness I need 1) Dark Mode 2) Light Mode Is there a way, to call with the same keyword both of them, otherwise I need two hotkey shortcut and I don't like it I mean: dark on has to call dark mode dark off has to call light mode I was looking in some other workflow but I am not able to find the right solution
andrea.vuolo Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 I asked ChatGpt and it gave me the instructional for conditional mode. So I did it. Thanks for your support
