Hans-Pe Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 I have observed the following in connection with Affinity Photo (AP): When I action a single pdf file in Alfred with “Open With...” into AP, AP loads the file after asking for some options first, see screenshot. If I put two or more pdf files into the file buffer and then press shift-option-right (⇧ ⌥ →) to action them with “open with...” into AP, AP hangs after loading the first file and I have to force quit AP. I suspect the problem is the Open Options prompt, because when I use regular image files (jpeg, png,... ), these are opened by AP without prompting, all files are loaded into AP in separate tabs as expected. When I do the same with pdf files selected from a Finder window ("open with" in context menu) or from Terminal with open command, all files are opened in separate tabs in AP as expected. I worked around the problem by creating a new file action for single and multiple image and pdf files with a run script action: open -b com.seriflabs.affinityphoto2 "$@" This works without any problems.
