Andrew
I am a neophyte with a macbook air, just trying to get v1 to quit loading now that I have v2. Thank you. The easiest thing to do is open OS X's "Users & Groups" preferences, select your user, then the "Login Items" tab and remove Alfred from there Cheers, Andrew Angus 1 Link to comment
Angus
Thank you for your help. Another Q: can't set hotkey at preferences, and hitting the apparent default ( ~`space bar) does not work...it just makes the page scroll down. Maybe this app is over my pay grade? Link to comment

The default hotkey is Control+Space to activate Alfred. Are you perhaps looking at the wrong version of Alfred? Removing it from the auto launch that Andrew mentioned, doesn't close Alfred 1 if it was still running. Alfred also has a menubar icon in the beginning that could be used to get to the Alfred preferences. Link to comment
