'command' button and number does not select the required app

when doing the most basic of searches, such as 's' the relevant apps will appear, eg. safari, spotify etc.

 

however, all the apps have the command 1, command 2, etc keyboard shortcut associated with them, but when trying to select the desired app with command number shortcuts, nothing happens.

 

can anyone help with this?

That's odd. Can you take a look in Console.app and see if there is any kind of error reported in there?

I don't really know what that means, how i'd do it, or what I'd be looking for.

Same situation for me. Alfred 2 with powerpack and ⌘ + "number" does nothing. Any help appreciated.

My mistake!! After some more investigation it seems that ⌘>Preferences>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts had some options ticked to use ⌘1, ⌘2 etc to Switch to Desktop 1 and so on. Alfred working fine now.
