Is there a way to eliminate a specific folder from the search scope?

The best way to do this is to drag that folder to OS X's spotlight privacy prefs, wait a few moments then type 'reload' in Alfred

Just to clarify for those who are unfamiliar:

 

Open System Preferences from the menu bar

Click on "Spotlight"

Click on the "Privacy" tab

 

Then drag any folders you do NOT want searched into the field. You can also click on the '+' button at the bottom of the field to add folders or complete disks.

So now, my "_temp" folder (and contents) will never show in Alfred results.
