POST data in web searches

Sorry if this is available or has been discussed before, or if I have misunderstood something below.

It would be nice to enable specifying POST data for a web search. Currently only queries using GET are possible. Here is an example of a search field which uses POST data only:

https://www-lib.soton.ac.uk

For example, Opera (browser) has an option for search engines you add.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand WHAT it is that you are asking for but, technically this search page works as a GET also.

https://www-lib.soton.ac.uk/uhtbin/cgisirsi/oOlnsUEt76/HARTLEY/17100976/123?searchdata1=test

The above URL works perfectly to query that site. Obviously, you would replace "test" at the end with {query} for an Alfred custom search. If it needed to be a more advanced search, you may have to add a field value or two, but, that would be the case even if it were a POST that you wanted to do.
