Custom searches do not allow pipes (|) in URLs

Trying to set up a custom search for an online repository I run into the problem that Alfred doesn't seem to accept pipes in search URIs. The URI I am trying to set up is 

http://search.maven.org/#search|ga|1|{query}

As soon as I remove the part with the pipes it get's accepted but that of course doesn't work as it doesn't trigger the right search in the browser.

You have to urlencode the pipes, for it to work (meaning, substitute them for %7C). What you’re looking for would then be http://search.maven.org/#search%7Cga%7C1%7C{query}
