phyllisstein Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Now in AlfPT and here, a quick-'n'-dirty workflow to run shell commands without opening a Terminal window. Just enter `$` and the command, without a space. I wracked my brain trying to think of something fancy to do with it, but since bash completion isn't built into OS X, perhaps simple is best. Edited to reflect the improvements NickT proposed, it now expands ~/.bash_profile before running a command.
