It even works if I edit the URL in Safari after it's launched and change ö to %C3%B6. Which browser are you using? Cheers, Andrew Link to comment

Andrew
Firefox 26.0 Here's an example: It looks like Firefox is stripping out some of the %, or treating them incorrectly. Have you tried this same issue in Chrome / Safari? Link to comment
Northdude
Same thing with Safari. I played around a bit: If I use the Alfred Google Search for the term "%C3%B6", the 25's are added, too: "ö" itself works fine here. Link to comment

It's normal for the %25 to be added if you search in Alfred for a % as %25 is URL encoded to %, so the screenshot above looks correct for your search term in Alfred. If you set your default browser to Chrome (or Safari) and do the imdb search in Alfred, are you getting the same result? Link to comment
Northdude
I created a new User and it works fine with this account. Seems that something's wrong with my Mac User Profile. Sorry for bothering you. Link to comment

Do you have anything which could be intercepting URLs before they open? Alfred simply asks OS X to open the crafted search URL.
