This actually looks like a quite interesting idea! I created a really trivial google voice alfred workflow, and so the google API isn't too foreign to me. If anyone is not in the works on this, then I'd love to take a crack at it. However, I can't guarantee any real progress unless I have about a month to work on this, since I'm in college.

Google provides API clients for plenty of languages, so it shouldn't be that difficult to build a workflow.

I'd say you can probably forget it at this point. Google have just imposed a bunch of new rules on apps that access users' data, breaking most existing Google workflows, and making it ridiculously hard to get one permitted.

No, it's perfectly possible. Google just keep making it more and more difficult to do.

 

At this points, it's so much hassle to get a workflow connected to Google in the first place, it's no wonder hardly anybody writes them.

Can you recommend a good reference implementation of a Google Service for an Alfred Workflow? I have partially written one trivial Workflow, this might be a worthwhile project if I knew where to start.

this is a reasonably clear intro to google tasks using Python. I used the Oauth credentials

I followed this tutorial to write a simple workflow to append values to a google spreadsheet using Alfred.
