slyfox
I am having a very difficult time figuring out why when searching similar files (in-content search), Alfred only shows some but not other files. My text files look like this: Tags: #client Status: #active Note content My Alfred search is setup to search within folder - Title + Content search. When I search for "#client client name" Alfred only reveals some files but not others. Spotlight shows all files. Any ideas? Link to comment

By default, the built in open keyword (or ' prefix) only searches title and the 'in' keyword only searches content. You may need to setup a workflow file filter if you'd like to search for both. If you are already using a workflow, could you share the workflow for us to take a look? Link to comment

deanishe
What's the "Basic Setup" of your File Filters? A lot of apps mess up the UTIs for Markdown files. Is it possible that some files have different extensions to others (e.g. .md vs .mmd vs .mkd vs .markdown vs .txt etc.)? Link to comment
slyfox
I have a combination of txt and md files. This is what I have: Edited June 12, 2014 by slyfox Link to comment
deanishe
Hmm. What about the file extensions? .md is mapped to net.multimarkdown.text on my system, for example. Link to comment
slyfox
It is a combination of .md and .txt fils. Link to comment
deanishe
Hmm. If you're only using .md for markdown files, I don't know. Sometimes, resetting the file filter can help. Link to comment
slyfox
You mean delete the filter and create it again in Alfred? Link to comment
deanishe
Yeah. Also try creating a Smart Folder that contains your Markdown files and see if that shows all the files. Link to comment
