mark00thomas
There may be a bug in Alfred. I have exhausted my ability to trouble shoot this any further. I am using OSX 10.9.4 on a 2013 Mac Pro with a USB wired 10 key keyboard I am using Alfred 2.3 (264) Problem: When I try to create a hotkey that will type the date for me I am only allowed to make said hotkey with command + the number "8" key on my 10 key pad, not the number "8" above the qwerty keys on my key board. I have looked in the OSX keyboard shortcuts to ensure that the shortcut was not already assigned to another function. Here are two pictures of the workflow. https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8yh3jx6ffyw1gw/Screen%20Shot%202014-08-11%20at%204.52.41%20PM.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/3klhi02h7q9jvuc/Screen%20Shot%202014-08-11%20at%204.52.52%20PM.png

The only time you can't set hotkeys in Alfred is if OS X is intercepting it (for a registered hotkey in OS X, another app, or even Alfred) and Alfred's hotkey field isn't even seeing it. I can set cmd+8 on my Mac using the 8 in the row of numbers above the keyboard, so it's likely being used by something else. Make sure to check your workflows to see if you have assigned it to something else within Alfred (by accident). Cheers, Andrew [moving to closed, but I will keep an eye on your reply]
