jdcha
For example if I type "in chocolate milkshake" and it finds pdf files for me with 'chocolate milkshake' how do I then make alfred type 'chocolate milkshake' into the search query of the file (e.g. preview, acrobat reader, etc) so the pdf application searches for the instances of the word in the file as well? Thanks, I've spent the last 4 hours trying to figure this out. I might've lost any productivity I would've potentially gained with alfred lol... Long story short, I want to search for 'text' inside pdf documents using Alfred... Link to comment

Long story short, I want to search for 'text' inside pdf documents using Alfred... Hi there, This can be done with a file filter workflow. The file filter workflow object needs to be configured to search for kMDItemTextContent... I've created a workflow example for you which only searches inside pdf files with keyword 'ipdf' https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6749767/Alfred/Workflows/Search%20inside%20PDFs.alfredworkflow Let me know how you get on and if you need any help modifying it for your needs Cheers, Andrew Link to comment
