Help restoring workflows?

Recommended Posts

I inadvertently moved the Alfred folder in my root Dropbox folder and somehow broke Alfred's ability to access my workflows, even after I restored the folder to its previous location. These files are located in the .alfredpreferences/workflows directory (so I know they're still there):

Any help in forcing Alfred to restore these workflows? Thanks!

Have you tried Going to Alfred's advanced prefs and setting the sync location to the location of your preferences again?

Ah, it seems like it just took a long time for Dropbox to finish syncing all 37K+ files...! Looks like once the process completed, the workflows showed up as expected. False alarm!

Hey Chris :)  Sounds like you're sorted out now, but as a heads-up: Let Dropbox sync all its files before setting up syncing in Alfred. Otherwise, if Alfred doesn't detect a preferences file, he'll create a new one in the location you selected. This can lead to Dropbox conflict files and lost preferences data, so it's worth giving it a moment to finish syncing first.
