Use user-editable color definitions in theme files

The color definitions in the theme files appear to be serialized objects. They aren't editable in the files. I would like to be able to view and tweak them to fine-tune appearance definitions. Please store and read color definitions in user-editable text.

Themes are going to be fully overhauled in the future, and will be way easier to generate / create
