locus
Hi all! I can't imagine I am the only one noticing but the text in alerts or banners displayed in NC are clipped if the text can't be displayed in 3 or more lines. I can't find out how to circumvent this and do not see how to get a solution. For some notifications it is essential to be seen completely... Anybody any idea? - locus Link to comment
CarlosNZ
Nope, it's a limitation of Notification Centre unfortunately. I asked about this myself some time back. If you need longer, then use Growl instead. Sorry for being the bearer of bad news. (On the plus side, it provides good practice at brevity ) Link to comment
locus
Ah, well, time to try to wake up Apple and let them know to size up the banners and alerts..... Thanks! - locus Link to comment
Weaselboy
You can do an output to "Large Type" and that will expand to handle a long string of text. I was playing around with a script that run "ls ~/Documents" and the entire output comes up on the screen in the large type box (although not so large any longer). Just an idea.
