tamagoshi Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I tend to power off my monitor using Control-Shift-Eject as apposed to putting my machine to sleep. Would be a nice addition to the system commands. Tyler Eich 1
jdfwarrior Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Several people have already suggested this. As of now, obviously, this functionality doesn't exist. You can't fake it by simulating keypresses with applescript either because you can't simulate the eject key. I've recommended to several people, just download Sleep Display. Then just run it, or create a hotkey for running it (in workflows)
bmazin Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 The Keychain Access application has a menu bar status in the Preferences. In the menu bar item the first option is "Lock Screen" which is the same as the Control-Shift-Eject shortcut. This menu bar item is located here /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app/Contents/Resources/Keychain.menu I dont know how or if it is even possible, but you utilise the Keychain.menu?
