leefur Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 Hummin' along silently… let me know what you think!
Jonathan Tom Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Awesome theme, it's gone straight into use! leefur 1
leefur Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 About to pass 5,000 views here in the forums. I'm looking forward to the Themes gallery I've heard might be coming…
dysonant Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Chalenge accepted: Maybe it is a bit too minimal, but still it is clean and useful. leefur 1
leefur Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Ah, right on, dysonant. The subtext can be important though (especially with many of the workflows), so I thought it best to leave it visible. But it's usually too long to really scan by eye all at once, so I liked hiding all but the selected's subtext. But for some people what you have will totally get 'er done.

Yeah, showing subtext on selected was the one call that makes this a little less useful, but overall I could still see using it. Love your theme. leefur 1
leefur Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 All's quiet… any news out there on the themes gallery?
Ddyracer Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 All's quiet… any news out there on the themes gallery? Nothing yet. Maybe we will see it soon. leefur 1
leefur Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 Been a while… anyone heard anything about a themes gallery?
leefur Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 10,000 views! Actually 10,700 views now. Neat.
leefur Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I hadn't even noticed that I lost the blur, but there it is. Here's hoping there's a GUI selector for it (and a theme picker) soon, among the many things the good Alfred folks are working on.
leefur Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 Best alfred skin I have ever seen. I'd love to have it wider, too. How? And even with unchecked box "Hide result shortcuts" there are still none. With 8 or more results my eyes can't catch the fifth so fast. I bet they are there, but white! How 'bout a version with shortcuts? Louis. Thanks, Louis! I'm curious if people out there use the shortcuts. It seems so much more clumsy to me, to hold command and hit a number, rather than just down arrow to the entry you want. To address the two above requests, here's a somewhat wider version with shortcuts on. These changes aren't strictly in the minimalist spirit I'm going for, so I'm going to leave this version out of the original post. But I hope you guys like it! Download: http://cl.ly/Sjzx
leefur Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 And if you'd like to change the width further, go to the the Theme customizer (call up Alfred, hit cmd-, go to Appearance). Hover your mouse over the border of the Alfred window, where it shows that you'll change the Border Colour. Hold Command and it'll switch to instead change the window width. Click. Click again. It'll cycle back around, or you can also hold Shift to go down a size step.
leefur Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) A black version has been requested a couple times now, so I created an alternate version, The Minimalist: Almost Black. Let me know what you think! Edited January 7, 2014 by leefur
leefur Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) UPDATE: Now available in a suite of modern, flat colors, The Minimalist: Flat UI Colors Edited January 8, 2014 by leefur
leefur Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Thanks, Matt! Are you using the original white version? Or black, or one of the flat UI colors? I've actually been using the flat UI colors. They're more fun. But then I go back to the white and it feels refreshing.
jfairley Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I use the black theme primarily. I wholehearedly agree. Best theme I've seen. Thanks, leefur.
fredcallaway Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I thought I had come up with the minimalistest theme possible, and I was going to post it… until I saw yours and liked it better, so I made the switch. Well done! (I'm using white with 90% opacity) leefur 1

leefur Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Now available in Helvetica Neue Light to match the new Alfred and Yosemite. See original post – http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/850-the-minimalist-almost-white/ – added at the end.
David Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 How about a new one with "San Francisco" font? :-)
