Recommended Posts

Hi and good day,

Is there a way to open a webpage with automatically entering my login (maybe with 1Password)?

Great!

But not working:

I did the following:

using Alfred v2.5.1 at least

using 1Password and its browser plugin.

Enable integration with 3rd party apps ( I set it to 1p)

=> Alfred does find the bookmarks file generated by 1Password

What I see is this:

and this:

Did I miss something?

I can see you've got the "Alfred Update Available" tab at the bottom of your Alfred window, so please update first. Also, check that 1Password itself AND its browser plugin for your preferred browser are using the latest version available.

Did you also check the box for 3rd party integration in 1Password itself, as per the screenshot in step 1 here?

https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/1password/

Once 1Password shares the bookmarks list, you'll see your list of bookmarks appear in Alfred's prefs. If you launch Alfred's preferences to Features > 1Password, do you see your list of bookmarks in the large box?

Let me know how you get on :)

Cheers,

Vero

Out of curiosity, why are you not using 1Password's built-in function for this? I have a key combo assigned to it, I type in the website and I hit enter, don't have to touch the mouse:

hi Vero,

Yes I updated (Alfred vs. 2.8.2 & 1PW vs. 6.0.1 latest) and I can see the list, as here:

Still wondering what's going on here...

Hi and good day csaborio,

This is of course a good workflow, what I had in mind was a step less than that:

To type a keyboard trigger which then automatically opens a webpage AND ALSO lets Alfred do the heavy lifting together with 1Password: to automatically find the login fields and automatically type in the appropriate username & password. This would be nice, wouldn't it?

Based on the screenshot, you've modified your keyword to "1p[space]", as there is a blank space before your cursor in the screenshot

Remove the space from that field, then type for example "1p adobe" and the Adobe 1Password bookmark should appear. Does it work?

Also, you'll need to update the Agilebits entry in 1Password itself, as the URL doesn't begin with http:// or https://, so will be treated as an invalid URL.

Hi and good day Vero & everyone else here,

 =SOLVED_!

The problem was 1 little space after the  "1p" ( I had  "1p ").

Unforgivable computers!!!

Anyway I find the workflow to be so sweet! You just type your 1p into ALFRED, choose the site where you need to login, and swish there you are!!

Alfred is better for opening URLs. 1Password's search shows everything, not just URLs, and it isn't very smart, i.e. it doesn't remember which result you chose for which query, like Alfred does.

Also, a lot of people are just far more used to hitting that Alfred hotkey.
