samdale67 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Is there an action for creating an alias of a file and placing it somewhere? I find that I need to place an alias often on the desktop. Would this be useful to users? Maybe it's already available, and I missed it? Sam

Sam I personally use Alfreds file search in combination with the "Quick File Search Mode", but i've made you a small workflow that let's you select a file/folder to create a alias for and then a folder where you want it to be saved to. Here you go(I assume you have Alfred 3): https://www.dropbox.com/s/g4clxs0pmy7p14l/Create%20Alias.alfredworkflow?dl=0 Edited June 21, 2016 by FroZen_X matthew16 1
nestorito Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Hi FroZen_X, does it work also to make alias of folders?
FroZen_X Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) Hi FroZen_X, does it work also to make alias of folders? Found a bug that made it not work in some occasion and therefore couldn't work with folders. Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g4clxs0pmy7p14l/Create%20Alias.alfredworkflow?dl=0 Keep in mind that the first filter is set to everything, which can be change to folder only if wanted. This should work Edited June 21, 2016 by FroZen_X Grug 1
