Trigger Workflow via Alfred Searches (vs. Hotkeys)

Hi everyone,

 

Trying to have Alfred trigger one of my workflows by searching, not by a hotkey combination. Eg: do a regular Alfred search for for "asdg" => trigger workflow X. 

 

Is this possible?

Yes, that’s the most common way. Through a Keyword.

Or do you mean to trigger it just by searching, without pressing ↩? That’s also possible, through a Script Filter (since it runs code on each keypress). You can combine it with an External Trigger to easily call whatever part of the workflow you want. That’s a bit unorthodox, though, and sticking with Keyword is likely better.
