This doesn't seem to be working. It doesn't appear to have any effect. i.e. I can immediately use Spotlight Search and it doesn't find the stuff in /Applications.

I think I found the issue. I so have a /System/Applications folder that has the default Apple apps in it. But I still have an /Applications folder (off root) and that has all my applications in it.
This computer was upgraded from Mojave. If that matters.
So, I will manually add the /Applications folder and see if that fixes the issue. Stand by.....

I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear, but I did that twice yesterday. It has been 18 hours since my last attempt. I returned to work today and it didn't solve the issue.

I has been 24 hours since I last touched it and still no applications showing up. I tried to "redo" all the permissions on the preferences page. All are checked except Automation. I cannot get Alfred to request Automation privileges. Could that be the issue?

I can confirm that I am using 4.0.8. Fresh install. I thought the reinstall might help, but it didn't.

I used this page
https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/catalina/
But nothing seems to work for me for some odd reason. I still cannot see any of my applications in search. Any suggestions as to how I can troubleshoot this issue?

I have not had many issues working with my instance at MacInCloud. But one is that I cannot set the toggle hotkey for Alfred. I select the correct field, but the keystrokes are not captured by Alfred. I also cannot toggle Alfred using the default hotkey.
Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?
Thanks

Results look promising. I'll check back on Monday if things do NOT work. However, I think your help rectified the issue. Thanks for your help.
