  1. Thanks David,

I repaired permissions, but am not sure that has done anything. Interestingly, adding new themes seems to stick with my mac mini but not in my older mbp, where the new themes disappear with every restart of Alfred. I also tried deleting my prefs file from Dropbox on both computers and then copying the flle back (for whatever that's worth).

Anyway, I can just see how it goes - it's not a big deal really.

  2. Hi,

I'm using Alfred 2.1 (10.8.5) and I've just noticed that my themes keep disappearing from the Appearance menu in Alfred. I can't be certain of cause and effect, but this seems to have only been happening since I installed the last theme yesterday (I think it was called Smoked). If I import new themes, then quit and restart Alfred, only the default themes remain. I am syncing Alfred Prefs through Dropbox.

My workflows and other prefs remain intact.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  3. Hi CarlosNZ,

What I mean is the time difference (might be a better word) from my timezone to other international cities. The UTC difference isn't really useful to me. At the moment (using World Clock Deluxe) I have a list of cities displaying their local times and the time difference from my location. For example, I'm in Melbourne, - Manchester UK displays their local time [-9:00], Singapore ...[-2:00], etc. Anyway, it's a quick easy way for me to see the time difference. It's not a big deal and the workflow is fantastic in any case, but I just thought I'd ask.

    Thanks

  4. Thanks for this. I'd find it quite handy, but I'm not getting it to work. If I type loc (while I'm connected to my VPN), it just says 'checking IP location' but doesn't return anything. Interestingly, if I disconnect my VPN, the workflow does return my correct country, but incorrect state and city location. Any ideas?

  5. Hi Andrew,

I'm keen to use your workflow, but am having problems getting it to show in Alfred. I've downloaded the zip file from Github, but I'm not sure what to do from here? I've tried renaming the zip extension to .alfredworkflow, amongst other things. Otherwise I have tried directly importing using the commands you've given in Terminal, but it just doesn't show in the workflows pane.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  6. Hi,

How long after, for example, adding a new album to itunes, should Alfred update to be able to select a song?

Not sure if there's something wrong - but still not finding recently added songs after an hour. Is there a way to manually update the index as in Launchbar?

    Thanks.

  7. I use it daily. There must be some step that you are missing.

    My use case:

    1. Create the keyword. For this example, we'll say I'm creating one for my name. So I would set the keyword to be ',df'.

    2. Create the Copy to Clipboard output item. Set the data to be copied to be 'David Ferguson'. Set the option to paste to front app.

    3. Connect the keyword to the copy to clipboard output.

    4. Go to web, apps, etc

    5. Cmd+Space to pop up Alfred

    6. Type ',df' and press Enter.

I used this exact method to expand ',df' into 'David Ferguson' above, and right here. So it works in browsers/in forms.

Thanks for this David - it works great and I now think I'll give Typeit4Me the flick and have one less app to load and take space in the menubar. Regarding your comment about not being a solution as a form filler - I suppose there's also no way to auto insert the date or time (e.g. dt, tm) as with the purpose built text expanders?

    Thanks
