Sorry, here is the precise problem:
I have two latex files I want to open using a latex editor (TexStudio). I created a Launch filegroup with keyword workflow.
1. If I list TexStudio.app as the first item on that list, the apps opens up with only the first latex file.
2. If I do not list TexStudio.app as the first item on that list, the apps opens up with only the second latex file.
3. If TexStudio is running already, both latex files open up.Please help! Workflows aren't useful if they are so buggy! -

I created a workflow using the standard launch file group from keyword template in Alfred.. I dragged and dropped a bunch of latex documents needed for a project into the Multiple Files action.
When I trigger this workflow with the keyword, only the first file opens often.. sometimes all files open but it is unpredictable. If I trigger again after the first file is opened, the next file opens.. I tried dragging and dropping the latex editor app itself as the first thing to open but this doesn't solve the problem.
OOOPS!! It is the second file that opens.. not the first file! The first latex file on my list is not opened, only the second/rest are.. I tried putting the app itself as the first item on the list but it didnt help..

Never mind! Repeated the disk permissions repair and rebuilding mailboxes a couple of times (including the Verify disk permissions thing) in some random order... and it works now!

Huh.. I dont think I set up any special permissions .. I'm the sole user with general admin permissions. I didnt really customize this mac in any way..
I implemented both of your suggestions. Repairing permissions did fix some files and I rebuilt mailboxes.. but I still have the same problem.
So do most people not have this problem then?

I have the powerpack installed on two different Macs (an Air and a desktop) and email attachments dont work on either.. I just get an email message window with the right subject line and recipient but no attached file.
This happens with files of all types..

Ordering of results in file search - not recent?

I posted this in someone's thread about unrelated mavericks problems, so I thought I'd post here again.
Even since updating to OS X Mavericks, Alfred's file search has lost its magic for me. The results used to be ordered in a relevant manner and Alfred used to magically pick the 10 files I most likely had in mind with a partial query. That is no longer the case since updating to Mavericks. I get random files that I havent opened in years.
As a concrete example:
'pdf - used to give the most recently opened pdfs in alfred
'pdf - now gives random pdfs..
Worse, Alfred doesn't seem to be learning! I open some pdfs by extended 'pdf into a more precise query, say 'pdf docA .. and it never learns! docA isnt shown the next time i type 'pdf...
The same problem extends to filenames (not just extensions) and everything else.. it is quite annoying to have my workflow interrupted like this. Does anyone know what went wrong? I must note that I did update Alfred right after installing Mavericks a couple of days ago. I also have Alfred installed on my work desktop (that I havent used in weeks) with dropbox sync.
