Alfred only [recursively] includes folders within ~ by default which means he can exclude the contents of ~/Library which noises up the results with undesirable matches. You can change this behaviour by un-ticking "Include folders in Home" in Alfred's Features > Default Results and manually adding your home folder to Alfred's Search Scope above this.
Cheers,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I notice that change is under the Default Results section, does it also affect File Search operations (open/find)? I don't mind that the files aren't showing up in my default search...

Okay, this is driving me batty. I've got several items (PDFs, JPEGs, etc.) directly in home (~) that Alfred can't seem to find with open or find. Spotlight can find them, but Alfred cannot. I've got no directories listed in Spotlight's privacy options and I've rebuilt the index once already.
Is the base/root of the home directory excluded by default for some reason?

My only recommendation is that you give Alfred another hotkey; sorry
Yeah. What I've been doing is temporarily closing Alfred, entering the needed Ctrl-Space, and restarting Alfred.
Was hoping there was some magic to get Alfred to just send its hotkey, much like tmux and 'screen' can. Feature request, maybe?

I have my Alfred Hotkey bound to Ctrl-Space. Every rare, rare once in awhile, I need to type Ctrl-Space in tmux within iTerm. Is there any way I can get Alfred to pass through its hotkey? Without that, I have to quit Alfred briefly or change its Hotkey. While it's not a horrible solution, it feels a little kludgy .
Any help that can be provided would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I absolutely love Alfred! Already I have several workflows and really enjoy the added Powerpack functionality.
Just a quick question, though. Is there no default action or keyword that will open a specific URL? I added a workflow for this, but I wonder if there isn't a hidden default somewhere?

Gotcha. That worked like a champ. I haven't seen any clutter from ~/Library yet, but if it becomes a problem, couldn't I just theoretically add it to Spotlight's privacy exclusions?
Thanks for your help by the way !
