The default folder is ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred, with all your important preferences stored in the bundle ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred/Alfred.alfredpreferences.

However, if you'd set Alfred up to sync your preferences, the Alfred.alfredpreferences bundle would be stored in the folder you told Alfred to use as its sync folder.

To add, you can find what that is by either looking in Alfred Preferences → Advanced → Syncing, or by looking at the contents of the ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred/prefs.json file.

Thanks to both of you. Very helpful indeed!

  2. Hi guys, I recently switched my laptop, and used time machine to do a backup for the old mac in my external hard drive. Now with the new laptop, I tried to retrieve my previous preferences from the pile of backup data, but couldn't find the preferences folder for Alfred 4. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

I added /System/Applications to the Search Scope list in Preferences -> Features -> Default Results and now the Apple installed apps show up in Alfred

Thanks scaba, that solved my problem! 😁

  4. I just upgraded to macOS 10.15 and Alfred 4 today. After giving it all required permissions, I found this glitch. When I searched for apps like "App Store", nothing shows up in Alfred 4. But Spotlight works just fine. I tried "Clear Application Cache" and "Rebuild macOS Metadata" but neither helped.

The permissions I gave to Alfred 4 just in case you ask:

    Contacts

    Accessibility

    Full Disk Access

    Files and Folders

    Automation

Any idea on how to fix this, or should I wait for an update?

Not sure this is what is happening here, but I can't find an option to disable the highlighting either... but could it be that you've set the opacity of the highlight colour to 0% or you've changed the colour to the same as the background colour and made some other colour change like the title/subtitle/Enter symbol ? You can try to go back to the default theme and see if the highlighting reappear.

Thanks for reply. It actually has nothing to do with the theme, as I've tried that before...There's a switch somewhere that I turned off. Just not sure where it is. Or maybe, I'm wondering, could a recent update remove that option?

  6. Hi,

For now I can only keep the clipboard history for a maximum of 3 months. But I just feel an increasing need to look back on things copies longer than that. Is there anyway to keep it permanent there? If it's not supported yet, will this be considered in future releases?
